A Night to Remember! School Closing Ceremony 2025-2026

The school community gathered for a spectacular School Closing Ceremony 2025-2026, themed "Chasing Your Dream," on Thursday, 16 July, celebrating a year filled with learning, achievements, friendships, and unforgettable memories. Parents, teachers, students, members of the Board of Governors, and invited guests came together for an evening of inspiring speeches, dazzling performances, and heartfelt moments.

The evening began with a warm and inspiring welcome address by Mr. Radha Krishnan, Chairman of the School Board of Governors, who congratulated the students on their accomplishments and expressed his sincere appreciation to the teachers and parents for their unwavering support. He reminded everyone that while dreams inspire us, they must be accompanied by strong convictions that transform those dreams into meaningful actions and achievements.

This was followed by the opening address from our School Principal, Dr. Debra Sim, who reflected on the school's remarkable journey throughout the academic year. She encouraged every student to continue believing in their dreams, embracing challenges, and striving for excellence. She also emphasised the importance of recognising and understanding one's own strengths and potential, as self-awareness is the foundation for turning dreams into reality.

The stage then came alive with an energetic pop dance, "All for One," performed by the secondary students. Their enthusiasm, confidence, and vibrant choreography immediately lifted the atmosphere and had the audience cheering with excitement.

Next, our adorable Kindy Dance Club captured everyone's hearts with their delightful performance of "A Million Dreams." Their bright smiles, confidence, and joyful energy reminded everyone that every great dream begins with a single small step.

Twelve talented students from Kindergarten and Primary then delivered a powerful choral speaking performance entitled "Chasing Your Dream." Their expressive voices and inspiring message encouraged everyone to pursue their goals with courage, determination, and perseverance.

One of the evening's most touching highlights was the Primary Handbell Choir's presentation of "I Have a Dream." Before the performance, the audience enjoyed a beautifully created AI-generated video showcasing the dreams and aspirations of each of the 11 student performers from Year 3 to Year 6. The combination of the heartfelt video, melodious handbell music, and uplifting singing created a truly unforgettable moment that touched many hearts.

The excitement continued with an entertaining band performance and singing by the secondary students, who showcased their impressive musical talents and teamwork, earning enthusiastic applause from the audience.

Guests were then treated to a special Year-End Video featuring memorable moments from the 2025–2026 academic year. From classroom learning and competitions to celebrations, excursions, and community events, the video brought back countless wonderful memories and smiles.

A proud and emotional moment followed with the Presentation of Graduation Scrolls to our Kindergarten, Year 6, and Year 11 graduates. Dr. Debra Sim presented each scroll, accompanied by the respective homeroom teachers, marking an important milestone in the students' educational journey.

Representatives from each graduating class then delivered heartfelt speeches, expressing their gratitude to teachers, parents, and friends while sharing their hopes and dreams for the future. In a particularly touching moment, two Year 11 students also expressed their heartfelt appreciation to Grace Training Centre and Hup Seng Sdn. Bhd. for the additional support and encouragement they had received throughout their educational journey. Their sincere words touched everyone in the hall.

The Year 11 students then thrilled the audience with an energetic performance of "Footloose," followed by a meaningful self-reflective video that looked back on their memorable school journey. It served as a beautiful tribute to the friendships, lessons, and experiences they had shared over the years.

To conclude the evening on a high note, the Secondary Dance Club delivered a lively performance of "What Time Is It?" Their vibrant finale had the audience clapping along and brought the celebration to an exciting and memorable close.

As the ceremony concluded at 10:00 p.m., everyone left with hearts full of gratitude, pride, and cherished memories. The evening was a wonderful celebration of dreams pursued, friendships nurtured, achievements celebrated, and milestones reached.
